Well it's obviously just filler stuff. I was just wondering what you all thought of the design. More of the minor stuff.

I like the over all design, digging the colours! The contact form seems to big and taking up a lot of space, do you plan to have a section for you resume/skills. Overall nice, clean and simple!!

I'd like to say that the design is mostly Darkmotion's. This is a pretty quick make up because I need to show off my work very shortly, but when that's over and I have more time I plan on categorizing everything, and the tag cloud on the right with be used to show the different categories. I agree with the contact form, I've been trying to figure out what to do with the extra space that would come with making it smaller.

It's wordpress. I checked out Joomla, but it was like swatting a fly with a hammer. I wasn't wanting it to be elaborate. I figured that it would showcase my work and that's it.

Can't really post a complex and well built critique, it's ugly ( both color and layout, everything is out of place... ).

PS: But look at the good side, at least it works...

no it doesn't :D the active page texts are all messed up. I press Works, Blog is selected. I press blog, blog is selected! Great! Until I hover of it and Contact becomes selected... Some times only half the Works is selected.

It's not all about the color but it's clear that you are more of a developer then designer. I'm honestly sorry, but I can't explain what I dislike ( I should start with all the design theory crap and stuff like that ).

As others mentioned, yes it looks empty but this is because you are looking at it as a developer. If you were a designer you'd try to add tones of non-essential little crap into it, splats, starts ( things that have nothing to do with the message of the site but are there simply to make it look good ).

In the end, everything is subjective. I'm not saying that the site is bad or that it's totally wrong, I'm just saying that aesthetically it's almost 0 ( it's not something that will want the users to come back ; maybe if you'll add tutorials and examples of your work with source or something then users might come back because of the content of your site ; but if you are not planing on things like that then you won't have people coming back because of the simple fact that the site is not appealing... The first impression always counts the most. )

PS: I could start telling you what to change and what colors to use, but I won't. Because all my ideas will be subjective, meaning that I'll give hints depending on my personal taste ; and that's something I won't do. Everyone has his own style and I won't force anyone to do things my way, IMHO keep the site the way it is if you like it, I'm sure that you'll find others who'll like it just the way it is now.
