I haven't heard about this. But I remember back when McGwire was going for the record. The government was going to charge a lot of tax money on whoever caught the ball if they kept it. Apparently, even catching a white ball is now taxed :). But they gave it back to mcgwire, so they were ok.

did any of you guys actually see the video tape...it's crazy...the dude catches the ball...therefore it his now his ball...and then everybody tackles him and the other dude ends up with the ball.

i don't see what there is to debate! the ball belongs to the guy that caught it.
