for the moment the site is in french & links do not work yet and the layout is based on the client's request, i proposed a couple design and that is the one they choose and asked to do some modifications, i'll post soon other layout (non-accepted) for more critics..thnks

I think the layout and colors looks good for the purpose. Good photo of the lady and the kid.

Two things to make better: Kill the comic sans at the bottom and use the font you've used in the header instead.
And, maybe it's me, or maybe it's the times we're living in, but please add a friend or two to accompany the teddy. A lone bear is just a sign that something nasty has happened. Sorry for being so gloomy.

agree with mikken, that bear does look lonely. Maybe add a couple of other toys with it.

I like the colours but then I'm a sucker for any site that uses a lot of orange :beam:

I'd make the font in the navigation bigger and I'd be interested to see if you were going to add a rollover to the navigation at all.

I like the pic you've went with but I'd be tempted to use a different pic in each page. Same idea though, smiling child kinda idea.

I'd add a little more of those white shapes to the orange background (behind the image) especially on the right hand side. Kind of a big gap there.

But this is a nice site. Cute. Fits the bill.
If I were your client, I'd be happy. Good job :)

I agree with what the others have said. But umm for me, the image of the woman holding the child also includes an iStockphoto watermark. So umm... get rid of it? Or purchase the image? :P

Apart from that it looks very good, friendly and welcomming (apart from the lone bear) heh.
