The steering wheel was (and in fact is) on the left hand side - American car, you see. But the character just happens to be standing right in front of it. If you look at the original car in another thread, you'll see I did draw one. :)

eCommerce (my lot) seems to be alright though, it's the telesales people that are having panic attacks...

Yep - makes sense; biggest headcount + duplication of existing function. Sad though to think of the human effect these corporate games have.

I think I've said before that I can see you (eCommerce) will be ok due to brand/market experience - RBS will want to see some return on investment I would expect, so they're not going to offload any resident experts.

Final bit of hi-jacking: We've been told via the national press that redundancies will be in the hundreds rather than thousands, spread across us and Direct Line, and mostly through voluntary redundancy, early retirement etc. If that's to be believed of course. Pffft. Who knows? :)
