I know a guy who used to work in a womans high end shoe store as well, it was in Toronto. He met Pat Borders and his wife(jays old backcatcher during thier back to back world series wins) and became close friends with him. He went to all the penant games and 2 of the WS games... lucky bastard :) I have seen a ton of pics so I know it's true.

I think I'm going to quit my job and sell some womans shoes - seems like a lucrative business :)

It can be. When I was working on Union Square, if we didn't sell $2k/day average, we were slacking. The lowest priced shoe in the store was a $200 canvas tennis shoe...

But then again, only "Guns" were working there. Shoe Dogs who had outshined everyone on lesser sales floors, and who had "paid their dues." I had been a District Manager of high end shoes for 5 years, before I met the requirements. Sale times were incredible. $20,000 days were not uncommon. And the women you met...

I still have a few friends in the business, each makes over $70k/yr working at most 5 days a week. They all have great insurance and vac benefits... But they are the cream of the crop...

I used to work an upscale restaraunt (The Elm Hurst Inn in Ontario) but I worked Banquets and made a standard wage plus tips if I was the bar tender for the night.

The people in the dinning room would make tons of cash... it was such a high class place all the meals are expensive and people were expected to tip huge.. hell at even 15% they were making great money. Many of them made over 75K a year. Easy
