Hi guys,

I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts on a new motion sensitive installation that I coded in AS3. You can see a video of it here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z-URTNpq5a0

It's a BBC commission for Architecture Week that makes grass grow as you pass by the camera. If you like it, be sure to check out some of my other work at http://www.hmcinteractive.co.uk (http://www.hmcinteractive.co.uk/)

Thanks everyone!

its hard to tell that the motion is actually triggering the growth. for all we know it could just be a mc of growing grass timed.

i'd like to see a more obvious example of interaction like effects comming off of a person walking by or a character on screen reacting to objects moving... i guess kind of like the PS2 joy cam minus the crappy ninjas. but i could definitely see this technology attracting people to interact.

imagine if you could program it so the moving objects were distinguishible by comparing a stationary empty shot of the area with a current streamed image and the differences were then highlighted some how like vibrant color waves emanating or it showed the difference in the speed of objects like people walking with streaks of different colors and lengths to denote differences of walking running and strolling.

anyway you could post a better video?
