This group is for Portland Oregon but I would think any body any where else could do the same. Just some food for thought.

I think you'd have more success hosting a virtual 'meeting' in a chatroom (yes I know it sounds really gay), that way location is not a problem and you could do essentially the same thing; study related topics, discuss them, use the internet, get feedback.

the study group is more about having the people there face to face for the sake of hands on help with training. This is not going to be a cores driven event, we will be do what we would be doing at home to train our self yet in the right environment I think it will help immensely. And if a topic is up for a open discussion it will just happen in the moment. For the most part it will be about 6 hours long and that it just to long to host it online. If location is your problem then by all means start one in your area. I just started this one and for all I know no one may show up, yet if they do or not is not my major concern. I just want to train and train well and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Just remember flash is almost every where so location should not be a problem when it comes to finding others that use and make flash
