Part of my coursework is using PS an AI and we had to do a matte painting this year using ads... I didn't finish mine properly (it was a tad too ambitious and I didn't really care about the photoshop mark given that it's considered the crappiest/less artistic class here)...

I used the excellent extremely hires image from boston made by some of the Gnomon workshop guys: http://www.xrez.com/boston_giga.html

All trademarks and the base picture is here for fun I don't profit from it so I hope I'm not doing nasty copyright infringement stuff

Those are awesome. All the 'painted' images loaded before the originals, and I assumed they were the orginals.

That's really excellent. My only crit is that the logos on the street concrete don't quite look right. Everything else looks good, as far as I can see.

wow, very well done. The attention to detail is nice.

Looks great. My only suggestion is to watch the white balance on the objects. In the original pic it looks a bit high, so a lot of whites are washed out.

I think if you bump them up a bit on the added imagery, it would blend even better.
