Components In CS3

Hi,
Are the components in CS3 Considered AS3 if I'm using AS2? I'm dragging them from the components menu onto the stage in CS3 but using AS2 to populate them and stuff. Is there any difference between doing this in CS3 and Flash 8?

If you're using an AS2 fla file you'll get AS2 components. If you're using an AS3 fla file you'll get AS3 components.
