View Full Version : Anyone play SOCOM?

I know I know, many people hate SOCOM US Navy Seals, many people LOVE it, I love it. I was just woundering what people think about it. If you do play it would be pretty cool if you were to post your screen name for SOCOM online :)

I recommend that if you do get it, keep playing, it is terribly hard for new-players.

I love that game. i got it for christmas, and although i dont play it too much lately, its still a lot of fun.

and dont laugh at my screen name, its something random a friend suggested:

yes i know. i remember i used to spend most of my weekends playing, now its a bit old. but i cant wait for socom 2 to come out.:)

me too, I've heard a lot about cheating in SOCOM, i've never seen this, my friend says there are auto-sniper cheats and ghost-weapon-pickup cheats, for some reason I don't believe them because how would you be able to hack on a PS2 game?

yeah, people cheat all the time, i get so sick and tired of it cause' you go to a game and your having fun and then someone starts cheatin cause they suck. Sony keeps telling people that they're doing stuff to stop the cheating, but it never works.:/

America's army. Same game as SOCOM except it's free and you can use a mouse :P.

Heh yay. Before you can play online though, you've gotta go through basic training, which will take an hour or 2 :(. But it's extremely fun. You can't beat crawling through snow to get behind a sniper and shoot them :). It's so life-like.

Sony did not like the Pc game Counter-Strike so they creating this game for PS2. But If CS is on PS2 it will maybe get on the top "maybe". But I hope SOCOM will come to the PC, not just PS2.

yes, people make fun of it all the time online, but after i pick up 15-20 kills and an MVP they shut up pretty quickly. I have heard some strange jokes, but no one usually cares.;)

Yeah I wasn't making fun of you, I found it quite funny for some reason. It sounded like a name I'd make up... yeah I dunno I find dumb stuff funny.


I actually really suck at socom, but then again i have only played it for a couple hours.

Yah i know this is old, but i want to bring it up anyways. :D
Believe it or not, third person shooter is the reason why people buy socom ;)
It does have first shooter, though it's not default. press up (once) on the arrow pad.
my nickname is "_link" "alibaba" the two of them i mostly use "_link"

i used to play counterstrike everyonce in a while but not until i got this game.

Yeah I love the 3rd person view.

I used to play socom2 before halo2 came out, so now I'm on and off.

If anyone wants to play with me sometime, drop me a PM... But beware, me and my aks105 or hksSD, you'll be toast!

I love socom. I think it blows any other ps2 game away. Including CS its a good game but socom is way better. If anybody out there is skilled enought pm me and we will set up a date to have a match.
