Anyone know how to attach a movieclip without it being visible...?

When I attach a movieclip I scale it almost immediately to the right size but there's always a flicker as the clip appears at full size before it gets a chance to be scaled down... I scale literally right after the call to attachMovie... any ideas?

When using attach - you can pass an init object to the method that should be executed prior to it being drawn on the Stage.

for example, see the movieClipProperties and how they're placed below:

Bah my bad I worked it out I was calling scaling code in some other part but setting the scaling of the objects before I set the scale factor! :(

Aye, now things go boom and the explosions look right without the shrapnel scaling up :D
