Hey guys, I just finished up my most recent animation. I realize that they are stick figures (which have become sort of cliche at this point) But they really seem to help me nail some animation concepts and get a good feel for gravity and physics ( for the most part). The blood isn't all that great, and that some parts are a little....very...corny. But other than that I hope you can tell me what I did wrong that I have not pointed out... (or right? *darts eyes* )

tell me you didn't create the chopstick series, it reminded me of it vividly, including the song:D
i would up the frame rate though:)

Good. Just lacks a sense of body-weight at certain points which makes it very similar to anime.

Nice motion man, you are really getting better.
I think the acting needs some anticipation in a couple of places, and some of the runs have some odd weight distribution, but :) try some fleshed out figures

Wow. Very impressive. I thought the timimg lagged a little in some spots. But you've got the animation down solid. Uh, I just realized I'm pretty much saying what dm said. I didn't get the flame transformation initially. Maybe he could vibrate and glow before that.
Hats off to you for making this one.

Thanks guys, As I said there are a lot of parts of this that I know were not all that great, but thanks for the extra critique, I will definitely keep that stuff in mind for my next animation. ;) I'm kind of afraid to try a fleshed out figure though, because I really don't know how to go about animating one in flash. I suppose I could use the brush tool and just go fbf, but that might be too difficult with all the smoothing and such.
What do you guys find to be the best way to animate 2d characters in flash? :h:
thanks again...:D

Nice! it did lag just a bit but i liked it. I always enjoy watching stick-figures kick the sh!t out of each other.

Flour sack exercise ;)
Bahah I'm doing it for university now. Try animating one of those. If you can animate it well, you can then animate nearly anything.

I reckon increase the frame rate a bit and work on the camera transitions and it would be excellent. Good work, keep at it !

Draw like crazy! I mean on paper. If you can "animate" something on paper, well... You're done ;)

^ not JUST drawing. You have to nail timing and life drawing as well.
