I'm sure most of you are going to say it's too serious looking for a comedian, but this is what the client asked for... Both he and I are very happy with the outcome.
Anyways, I want to see what my good friends at Kirupa think.

if you're happy and the clients happy then I don't really see the point in posting critique cause no matter if there are some good ideas in it, you're not going to care and to be honest...you shouldn't. Client and you are happy, so end of story.
On the off chance you are interested then here goes...it's in black and white, it looks more like an actors site than a comedians, way way too serious for a comedian and I wonder why this site wasn't done in XHTML/CSS as opposed to Flash.
but if this is what the client wanted then, there you go....in fact you've just given me an idea for a debate...thanks

well you posted for critique so critique i shall.
The site is too dark and boring. you really should inject some colourful life into there. he is a comedian after all not a prime minister or funeral parlour.
Photos are pixelated you should find a way to add the photographs at the proper size which dont resize with the browser size.
The site says nothing about his personality (i dont know him but the homepage image suggests that maybe he is a male stripper or something and not a comedian)
You could have some real cool flash with that site for instance a stage and an open mic night with maybe some videos of him coming on and off stage.

The preloader needs to lose his photo. It flickers on for less than a second and looks like a mistake.
You shouldn't have it scale to full size regardless of monitor size. On my monitor the photos look shiiiiitay because they've been stretched so much. http://i18.tinypic.com/6644mdf.jpg
I don't understand why the 1st screen says "Enter WWWLAUGHWITHLARRYCOM". For 1, the www is not necessary, for 2, the com is not necessary, for 3, it looks stupid to have it all squished together. They're already at the domain name, n'est pas?
It's boring.
(I'm having a bad week, it's not that bad. It is simple and could be elegantly minimalistic, it just needs some polishing. ).

What can I say? :D
It's a great site, clean, works nicely.
Yes, you could have pulled it all off in CSS with a sprinkling of AJAX for some fades. In that situation, you eliminate the chance that the end user doesn't have the Flash plugin or is running on a slow and old computer.
No, it is not a funny site. At. All. It is VERY serious and if the comedian's trying to pick up chicks, then it works fine. If the comedian is trying to impress venues and show off his talent, well... it's just not funny. Maybe since it's so serious, you need to plant easter eggs all over it. Like clicking on a photo animates him so he makes a face or falls off his chair? Something like that? Then it's funny because it looks so serious, but it's really not?

^ what they said. I understand your statement about the client being happy. I've only built two sites and each time the clients were pleased. But I, was not happy and wanted to make changes. So what I did was make the changes I thought were needed as a sample and show it to them and they were pleased again. Sometime the client doesn't know what they really need. I actually turned down a client because she was so difficult to work with and wanted me to do all kinds of stuff I knew was just wrong! Maybe that was foolish, to turn down the money, but I didn't want to create a garbage product that I wouldn't be proud to show anyone later. Not to say this looks like garbage. It's clean and smooth. The colors like others said are wrong and it's too serious. And the pics are really cheesy. But again what can you do if the client is happy. If you were allowed to do it completely your way, what would you change if anything?

Sorry to say, but it's very dark. Once it loaded, I was like: so, what do I do from here? I didn't see the Enter button. I had to move the window from CRT to LCD and then I noticed something in the middle.
After entering, the same thing. Sorry to say, but too dark for me to give any further critique. But if the client is happy, who am I to say?

Thanks for all the comments! I did a couple of things.. I made some of the text lighter. He did want everything to be dark, so I didn't change this too much. Also, I scaled the entire site back down to the size of the actual swf, rather than having it full screen.
