Working on finishing up my online store, and working with my first vbulletin integration into a custom layout. I also have a few trailer decals that I designed, and need some opinions on. These will be on some of our national race team trailers, and cars. Welcome to anything, especially the site which is still not finished.

Waiting on some pictures I can work with to finish the team pages, as well as a navigation system that will be in that box. Going to be similar to a sliding menu, with a little twist to it. Just need to pictures of the cars, and I had some other priorities to deal with mainly, transferring hosts and database's for the forums, and integrating oscommerce to use the forums user database. Things are moving along ... this has been a week of work, started the initial layout on the 28th, and today it is almost a fully functional site.

It's fine, I'm not going to comment on the site because I'm not into sites like that(ones with 5 billion different options on the top page). I AM going to comment on your decal. If that's your design, and if you designed it from scratch, then I think it's brilliant. I love that style, skulls, fire, bike exhausts, that thing ROCKS. I don't see that style so much anymore, but you're pulling it off perfectly and it's really impressive. If you made an online gallery of designs like that, I'd be visiting all the time.

Looks a bit pre 2003. Fairly nice design, but it just seems "old", like back in '03 it would have been hip, but now a bit bleh?
hahah I don't know if you get what I am saying but no one really does. - Hey now, i've been animating for 8 hours straight. give me a break. *sigh*

I kinda agree with both of the comments above. The design rocks, the colours, the skull, the flames, the font all combine to give a great looking design. Can't fault the logo one bit. But I agree with darkmotion that the site might be a little cliched. A little old and not really original.
I think you've done a great job with the logo which will defintely stick in my head, I mean you're unlikely to forget that are you?
The site won't cause it's cliched and old looking it's not really original and because of that it won't stick in my head. To make it stick in my head I think maybe you need to look at the pages structure. You have a lot of options, I mean a lot of options, to select from...kinda confusing on first viewing. I'm not sure the dark colours help make it stand out, I mean scroll down til you can't see the top header anymore and you'll see what I mean. Also once I scroll down you lose the top nav.
I'm thinking maybe you could move some of the options down the left hand side such as login, online users and stats somewhere else (I'd have login up top left next to the banner) and then move the nav to the left hand side of the site, I think it would stick out a little more.
Also I'd introduce a lighter colour, this is just my personal preference though so take from it what you will, but I think a lighter colour such as a blue or maybe even something loud like an orange would help bring out certain features, a lot of the colours at the moment are kinda metallic looking and I think thats what is giving the site it's cliched our of date look, all the metallic colours.
some changes needed but I think you're on the way. Not bad

It's seems like whatever is customized is poorly designed.

It's fine, I don't think it's worth critiquing the site as it's just an install of vbulletin and nothing new. The real special thing in this thread are his decal designs, very creative and very cool. Otherwise, sorry titter, as much as I love Kirupa's forums, in my personal opinion, vbulletin is complicated, confusing, and a pain to maintain.
