i am starting a club for all the kirupans who have broken hearts. we can drink tea (or vodka) (or both) and feel better in our unity. so anyone can start joining now. once there is another member or two we can come up with a name.

Well im sorry to burst your bubble but that is not possible, you see nowadays marriage or tis so called love you are talking about is all about convenience, so imho love is just a four letter word, and something you can truly feel towards a son daughter, mother or father, why because no matter what your children will aways be your children, the same goes for your parents but wives or husbands, well lets say they dont last that long, have you seen the divorce rates lately??

Then again everyone can dream, and not everyone is entitled to bad experiences, then again i pity you and wish you much luck dear friend. Well look at the bright side you will have tons of friends here willign to help you and support you through the tough times if they ever come. :beam:

I've been there. I'm very lucky. I've found my soul mate. Now whether that's for life... life is a long time... people change. You wouldn't live with your Mom/Dad/Sis/Bro either, but that doesn't mean you don't love them. You live with someone 365.25 days a year, and enjoy the heck out of all of them, then I think that counts as love...

If you had asked me 3.5 yrs ago about this, I would have agreed with you 100%... people change...

Well yeah love is just a word..

Its an eye of the beholder kind of thing... I hate it when people put too much litteral meaning on a word. See for me love is not eternal love for a woman and so on. Its just .. well love.
For ex: I love my pants.
Why not? Why can't I love my pants?
And I can love a woman, maybe not forever but for the time being. Life lasting love is extremly rare, if it exists. But I think I meet one couple who loved eachother for 60 years, so I figure thats pretty long.

I dont have a romantacized view of it, because tomorow, I might not love my pants anymore ;)

i agree wid grim and asphaltcowboy totally, theres no use having a broken heart, come on golgi start a club where all heart broken ppl meet and not b sad, just help urself and eachother, share a laftr, u live life in present, not the past and reason u live life is for future.Those who have a paused life coz of their bf's or gf's leaving them, help them start again, who knows we mite have a love story of its own in ur club:P

i was on the verge of breaking up wid my gf last nite, we r togather from childhood, studied in same class, best frnds all our life then v realzd its love..sad but she had to go to uk after 12th for studies and they all migrated, it's bin 5 yrs since tht, distance coz'z all the misunderstandings and arguements we never had and if last nite, she wud'nt have msgd me on my cell and we met online after tht........ i wud have joinded ur club and inspite of oppsing u guys, i wud have bin against grim for sure...

you guys like flasherjaz make good points. theres no use in sitting around and not living your life over it. but there is a good amount of pain that comes with it that you can't just discard. sure, you can go about your daily life and enjoy it, i enjoy my life immensly. but when it comes to love, like when you get together with someone else, or sometimes when that song comes on, or when you go up to that mountain and see a sunset that reminds you of the last time you were together, little things like that are triggers and it all comes back. you can't just throw that away altogether or else you are inhuman. or ignoring your humanity. sure, you don't dwell on it, but it's impossible to forget it completely. and once you've lost your true love, i think it's bad if you were to forget it anywhoo. our pain and our hardships make us who we are. they make us stronger and we learn from it. to forget is to lose a part of your evolution.
in anycase, the key to the club is not to sit around and mope. but if one of us is sad then the others can make them be happy. like you said grim.

EDIT: i just realized, russianbeer is the one who said we were all gonna whine and mope about. don't listen to him, he's just innebriated....

hahaha. i hear ya. i love, i mean absolutely LOVE fishing (i've been fishing like 5 times this last week), but i can't STAND watching it on TV. it's totally defeats the point of doing it IMO, like, i enjoy it because of the sport, and the nature and all. watching two smelly guys talk real low and sit for hours and then reel in some fish doesn't do it for me.

i would agree with you. except that my parents are truely and utterly in love.
and i felt that way once. but it's over now. but if i could feel that way, then it proves that it exists as more then a matter of convenience. :P :beam:

I have a formula, its really hard and u may not agree wid me on that.Usually the person who u love most is the person u hate most if something like this happens, ones who give u somuch love, only he/she can hurt u real that bad, rite?

But u r confused if u hate tht person, if u love tht person, wil u ever stop, can u stop hoping now and u remember the good times u spent wid him and can't forget the time when it all ended.

I kno this is a forum, but still ppl generally talk in limit, i mean i opened up and usually do when i feel there's a need of a perfect example wich i have... will all the members of this club are ready to take an oath of opening up wid other members... release everything?

This is really important, i think any forum full of smart, decent and understanding ppl works as a a type of a mirror, if u open up completly others can evaluate u better, it's like u 've got something on ur forehead and person whoz talkin to u see that and brings that to ur notice... u kno wat i mean...

well in order to hate you have to love first, and golgi yes ive been racked up pretty bad but im over it and i still have to talk to my ex wife and treat her nice as if anything didnt happen, why?? because of my kids, so you see its all about beign mature enough to put up with it and forget about it, and you know what i think beign single right now is the best option for me after a 8 year marriage and 2 kids, im doing better im back in college finishing my studies working my *** off and trying to build my own company so its all about getting up and start running again, no matter how many times you fall just pick yer d@mn self up because no matter how many friends are there, its something you must overcome by yourself .

And im all for busting my guts here if ya wanna know what really happened i have no shame in telling my story.
