My last few pieces of work up for comments have been 3D renders. This is no exception. However this is different because its a 3D animation. IT isn't of anything inparticular but me playing with Particles and Physics. However the final piece works nicely. Only thing missing is some music.
Comment please:

Did you write the renderer / ray-tracer?

Rendered straight out of C4D.

It looks very realistic, except at the end of the bounce the balls keep vibrating.
It makes it look like there's a surface that is vibrating.
They should stop the bounce after a while, and just kindof roll a little bit...comming to rest after a spell.

Sky falling ? Wtf bouncing balls ? hahha, actually funny... but i'd like to see some textures there... it;s not bad actually... aaa, and yeah, change the font you used... use some manly font there !

Yeah, i agree they do look slightly silly. You must have been looking closely. Haha. Not sure how to fix that because the are being dragged by artificial gravity and then hitting a deflector. This means they will always bounce because of the gravity and the deflector...
Im sure there is a way but im new to this game.

Manly font? WTF?

Use upper case... dunno, i feel that text girly and weak...
Don't ask me why.. i just feel it that way :), it needs BOLD and CAPS !

Haha, brilliant.
I think that on my next experiment i will use my logo and not just text. This will be better i think.

As ever.
Hopefully the next experiment won't take 10 hours to render. :ponder:

10 hours ? jesus ! Feed your hamsters with something else, darn they are slow... mine can do 3 things at once ( run, watch tv, and flirt with my neighbors hamsters ) after a good bottle of rum ! Ever tried giving them RedBull ?

Well my hamester has two rather large hearts, so I don't think my hamster is the reason for that length of time.

Looks awesome, although two things:
1) the endless bouncing annoys me
2) The blurry distance and border of ground (earth horizon thing) annoys me
oh and a bonus you should def. use a logo and have some balls bounce of that aswell

Your little "bouncing" problem can be solved easily.
Decrease the "bounce" value to something extremely close to the least. And increase the "friction" like crazy, well ok, half-crazy. I recently made something similar and it too had a gravity warp and a deflector. With the bounce and friction parameters setup, I never had a problem.
Try it out! :thumb:
The blurry distance and border of ground (earth horizon thing) annoys meAbout what he said, I presume the blur in the background is because of the depth of field of the camera (naturally?). However I do think that overall it has more motion blur than needed.
Oh and I dig the "girly" font. Making it bolder could be a nice addition, but it's pretty cool as it is too. Keep it yupp! man. :P

It's a little distracting when the balls just disappear, too. Keep em around!

Great set of pointers dudes. Will try the friction thing and see if it works. Also the balls are set to die after so long because they are particles afterall. But I could increase that so they stay around until its over.

Amazing. what did you use to make it?

doesn't make me think of a sky... i wouldn't have guessed that at all had you not said that. also... how is it possible for the sky to fall everywhere BUT on the text...?

As others have said, balls keep on bouncing. And at the very end, one ball seems to emerge from 'u'. It would be so awesome if you can make balls bounce in some direction from which they hit those characters, if you know what I mean. It's great though! :thumb:

Use some hdri lighting.
Drop the attenuation on the bounce a lot more to make it natural.

Sorry, it was an abstract title, but all artist like to make there work sound good by giving it a crazy 'plucked out of the air' title right?
As for the balls not hitting the text, you have to ask the balls. They are generated about a hundred meters above the text and should fall anywhere below that, so i is completly random that they didn't hit. Interesting though.

i find the ball physics kinda weird, looks good though, reminds me of bravia:D
