need help here.... plzzz....

i'm on a virtual map project now... and i certainly need to add a search box to my work in order to make my end-users tour on my virtual map more easier when they would like to find a specific existing location by providing the name of the location on a textbox (my search box).

the problem is, i don't know how to attach the search box on my virtual map via Action Script... :crying: and i can't figure out what appropriate "field names" i will assign to each location on the map (this will be the names that the search box will search corresponding to the instance names of my individual movieclip).:puzzle:

any suggestions, comments, or bright ideas that you can offer would be great. :smirk:

By search box, do you mean the small map at the bottom that you drag around? Or do you mean the scroll list? Or do you want the user to type in a location name, and then match that?

As for "appropriate field names," that's strictly up to you, dude.
