Ok well not really drawn for the purpose of becoming a wallpaper sized thing, but really it was for the flash vector illustration walk-through (http://darkmotion.com/blog/2007/05/21/flash-vector-illustration-walkthrough-part-1/) I wrote.
Yeah scuba steve is pretty much screwed.

That seahorse looks weird. Also the hole in the squids mouth looks odd. It should be mirrored or something. Looks like mr steve will be eaten and don't go down it's stomach but rather down a hole on the side of his mouth. Sort of, ish'ish:P
The rest is nice I guess. I really like the bubbles! Don't know why, bubbles are neat:)

I'd ditch the Seahorse - but the rest looks good and once again a great style that you keep using.
You didn't color in the PSSRND version did you?

Looking really cool ! Only one suggestion: i would suggest you work on the background a bit... yeah, i know, it's deep under water but still... some random effects would make it more realistic... :thumb:

yeah I might tighten the composition up a bit - as I said, it was for the tut, so I'll try and whack together a nice comp sometime this week.
The seahorse is only in there because Nokky has the hots for it. I forgot to throw in some background elements, but I guess i'll do that too when I find time. I just wanted to crank something out!
@ boon. The octopus one is in coloured animation pencil in the pssrnd book.
@ dr_funk - :D cheers mate. I'd like to get stuff on shirts real soon!
@ temp- yuppers, I realised I forgot the tint before I posted it, so when I work on the revised wallpaper version I shall fixor it.
*Sigh* University takes up a huge chunk of time. - now back to animating my flour sack..
Oh yeah - I'm gonna be busy animating and drawing allllllll day, working on a flourbag exercise - meaning I wont be able to THINK at all- so any ideas for a bg you might want to see? :)

A shark, faint in the background going straight for them!
Its really good, I like your style. There is a good amount of detail there aswell. As others said goggles needs to look more 'glassy'.
But steve does look in big trouble! 8-]

I have to admit, though, that it does seem a bit out of place here; alone, it looks great, but it’s awkward here. :P

Fun illustration. You should do a (slightly) twisted children's book or a series of short stories. Then really cash in on the whole thing by putting out an animated series. That or do your homework and put the book/movies idea on the backburner.

Well now that you mention it, I am starting a super dandy project with two other animator buddies from university which I will have to tell all of you guys about - it will involve illustration and animation stuff :toad:
