I found what I think to be a bug in the flash CS3 IDE.

The bug:
When accessing the preference properties ONYL after: 1: Just started the IDE with no prier or current documents open.
2: Go and make a New or Open a existing Action script document only ("will not see bug if FLA is open")
Then if you open the preference properties and go to the sysntax color chooser for the action script editor display and try to choose a color. You will see that you don't see a color palate to choose from. I believe this is due to the lack of that AS3 component found in flash. I say this be cause once you make or open a fla the bug is no longer a problem and the color choose works as expected. But to confirm this I would like to conduct a poll to see that this is not just a isolated problem for me.

Hmn I don't see it, but maybe that's because I didn't recreate it very well. A bug that does happen for me though is that the ActionScript panel sometimes grows endlessly tall. It ends somewhere like 3 screens down, and you can't drag it high enough to get a resize cursor at the bottom. Also, it sometimes gets layered underneath the right panel bar, but above the stage. Like shoving inbetween.

I'm not sure if that has anything to do with me using the trial version - maybe it conflicts somehow with that serial number screen. Hope it doesn't happen in the final version.

thanks for your input but, I would like this topic to stay on topic. So if you and or any one else would like to talk about other bugs found not pertaining to this one please feel free to start your own topic. Other wise this topic to find out whether or not the bug I found is just isolated to me would be pointless and lost in the discussion about all the other things that "could be wrong".

- sorry and no hard feeling.

Maybe I misread your poll, but doesn't the third option say "I have found a different bug (**please explain)" ?

Voetsjoeba[/left];2123939]Maybe I misread your poll, but doesn't the third option say "I have found a different bug (**please explain)" ?

the question of the poll witch is also the header is
"did you After the said circumstances find a bug with the same effect?"

that answer is pertaining to the set circumstances which is required to reenact the bug which I found. A better way to under stand is if you had your problem only after you had followed the same set of circumstances in order. then it would be pertaining to that answer.

if that is true then please make it clear otherwise it would look as if your referring to a off topic problem that would other wise sidetrack this discussion

Now you're just being silly, but ok - I guess my answer would then be:
[x] No, I did not find the same bug.

remember that if you find any bugs or have any feature requests/suggestions, let Adobe know using the bug/wish form:

I plan to if this shows to be a real bug and not just my computer.

This happens for me too, and with the Help panel as well. However, I seem to have fixed it by sizing them appropriately and then saving my Workspace again. Hasn't happened again yet, touch wood.
