CS3 AS3? resources???

is flash CS3 using AS3? i cannot seem to get my head around as3, and i have flash 9 beta... should i stick to the live docs or buy a book??

actually buying a book won't hurt .. but buy something that has real life examples .. and not just examples like draw a shape with AS3 ..
