At school we're making a stop motion movie, but when we put the pictures together we noticed that some pictures are a bit more yellow-ish than others. Instead of changing thousands of pictures manually, one by one, I was wondering if there's any way to set certain values and change the pictures accordingly. I can't really explain what it is I wanna do, but I hope you understand. The pictures is taken with the camera being completely still, so light and everything is the same on all the pictures...

You could batch process all of them - Fireworks has this feature. You can basically import all of the images you want to change, choose what settings you want, and then press a button and it will update all of them.

I'm sure After Effects must have some kind of feature to let you do this too...

After Effects can color correct a clip and other compositing packages do it as well, such as Combustion (works a little better)

You can do a batch process in PS.

Open one of the photos in PS and create a new action start recording and apply the effects you want, stop recording the action.

Once this is done go to file>automate and apply the action to the folder where all the photos you want to apply this effect to make sure you select save and close and make a copy in another folder so you can keep the originals.

this (http://www.wundar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2469) can give you an idea how its done

Good Luck

While this method is great for well defined enhancements (ie all pictures need the same color correction, levels tweaking), you should really dig into compositing apps if you are looking for consistant hues and color depth (it will remove the 'flicker' you might have due to non-uniform shading)

I tried Batching the pictures, and you're right, there is still a flicker... It's less noticable, but we have a part where the same person is at two places at once, and then it's pretty obvious... I'll check out combustion

does anyone have a tutorial or tips or something for After Effects to do something like this? I downloaded Combustion, but my school have a licence for After Effects, so that would probably be a better solution.
