Control over the typography have been very lacking in previous versions of Flash. Does anybody know if it will improve?

I'm dreaming of support for OpenType!

I talked about that subject with an Adobe/Macromedia rep last September at FlashForward. The guy acknowledged the lame typography controls in Flash, but also pointed out that (as of that Sept.) building those controls into Flash means that the FlashPlayer must know how to interpret, and so the size of the Flash player would increase, maybe to the point where it's not so appealing to the average user to download and install.

Hell, I'd settle for improved kerning and leading.

It seems that typography is still buggy, hard to work with, and lacks lot of features in AS 3.0. I have wet dreams about a component/library for Flash/Flex based on the Buzzword (http://blog.virtub.com/) engine. However i must add i havent even seen Buzzword in action, what VU plans to do, and much less know if they support HTML output and other features that the developer audience needs.
