Website 1st draft

This is a site I've gotta churn out really quickly. I'd appreciate any comments at all on this so far, it's just 2 hours in photoshop to mockup a possible design and I'm not 100% sure about a couple of things. So if anything looks rushed or tacky please let me know as I just need some fresh eyes looking over it.

Nice! I like it!

The only thing I'll say is that the white box in the logo looks a bit out of place next to the gradient heading bars. Maybe you could make them look more similar.

haha, yeah, that white bar looks distracting. really nice site, love the fonts as well:)

I like the layout. Colors, and fonts are nice as well.

1) I don't like the inner shadows in the white headers/horizontal dividers.
2) Not sure about the link menu. There dark red backgrounds look a little dated and the main links font is a little too big for my preferences.

Overall, looks good so far for a small amount of work.

The headings are weak because they are soo small. The shadows are too strong (try toning them down).

I really thing the font choice is a bit lame, because you could do soo much more with the body.

Try dropping the nav size : it's bigger than the content itself which makes it really confusing.


Try adding some sort of container for the image in the body because it really looks out of place in the rest of the design.

x2. Swapping out the red for another color may help (although it looks like you're sticking with the client's white/red color palette). Other than that it looks pretty clean. I like the font choice (simple & modern), and I think the heirarchy of information is right on.

Good use of colors, you may want to consider the white bar. It doesnt fit the rest of the design IMO. Add another color and try and be more creative with the section titles. I hope this helps, good luck bro!

Cheers for this guys, much appreciated. You've pretty much picked up in what I was unsure about myself, so I'll invest a bit more time into the buttons and I'll definitely rework the white bars completely. I don't really want to make them much bigger, they're only really there coz the design needed seperating out a bit. Hmm.
