I can't believe how fast this thing is... See, it's so fast it's causing me to make typos. :sure:
This is going to make my life so much better. My social life is going to die a death of course. :)

hmmm....to die a death?
That must be a brit thing. Because all Americans know that in order to die it has to involve a death... ;)
Crazy brits always over explaining things....
BTW....welcome to broadband land.

You can't live with it? I suggest relationship counselling. :)
Has no-one ever heard of "To die a death" before? I mean it's kind of an obvious statement, I'll admit, but I'm sure it's common among us 'crazy Brits'. :P

Kit, it's normally "to die a painful death" or "to die a slow death" as a pose to "to die a death".
Either:
a) You misunderstood it at some stage and as a result, missed out the describing word (such as painful, slow, etc.).
OR
b) We Brits. really are wacko :).
ps. Congrats. on the broadband - I've had mine for about 18 months now and I love it :thumb: :).

make sure you have a firewall...
now it's much quicker for a hacker to plant thier stuff on your hd...

Fortunately, some/most broadband routers have firewalls built in (like mine :)) and they seem to work well and don't cause any huge problems.
But those hackers are real losers because you gain very little from hacking random people - I mean, why don't they hack some intelligence agency? Then again, they have to start somewhere :-\

they stuck over 10 gigs of schtuff on my hd, with my "ISP firewall" in place... You still have open ports, which can be accessed by anyone with a little instruction...

It is like when I play new songs on my Mp3 player once with USB2.0 and then with Firewire !!!!! AHHHH :)

i have cabel internet. i remember the first day i got it, i tried downloading something off of Kazaa, and my rate was like 120kb per second, compared to my 3kb with dialup.
btw, does anyone here have Comcast for their internet?

I have Comcast. Well they started as @home, then went to ATT Broadband, and now Comcast... ;) Makes no real difference to me as long as the link light stays lit. Plus they have yet to change pricing.
Cheers!

It makes such a difference. :)
And I'm positive the phrase "died a death" is commonplace. At least it is round here. Or maybe it's just something I've picked up from my mother. I dunno. But I know what I mean... :)

"I shall call him, Mini-Benny."
Nope, just put in mind of Benny Hill-esque humour...
