this is my First EVER 3D render.:)

it is of Mars and it's 2 moons.

it is VERY basic but i only had Max 5 for 30min before i did this:crazy:

Hmm ... looks good =) Maybe a little bit of blue universe reflection ... If you could add that and animate it like a flyby, it will be even greater :thumb:

I just keep discovering stars :P

come on it was my first 30 min using 3DS max 5

how the hell can i do all that stuff;)

i will improve it and animate it, this was a starting block

yah that would be quite an ask especially for the first half hour of use...

how much does a copy of 3D SMax 5 go for these days?

Lol, I spend like at least 12h on 3d progs, but I have no clue how to do something like that. Are you sure it wasn't a tut in 3dsmax ? jk, nice work man

There's a tute for that! It comes with 3ds max! I'm sure it is! Cool though

it is a tut but i had redone it from when i had gmax

and my 3D Studio max i bought for £800 or $1200

i got mine from some one in an AD paper but i was brand new

i think i got it a bit cheaper

chris that is an awesome render for you first one....
check this out..take that same scene and move the light source to the left and do a render and it will add a little more depth. right now you have the light source head on and it isn't giving much shadow... but it is awesome for your first go round:thumb:

when i can be asked i will boot up 3DS (man it takes a long time) and play around with cameras and lights

maybe add some other stuff to it
