working on some business cards - just want them simple and minimalistic :D
here's what I have going so far.
Front (http://icypenguin.ca/operations/business-card-front.gif)
Back Concept One (http://icypenguin.ca/operations/business-card-back.gif) | Back Concept Two (http://icypenguin.ca/operations/business-card-back-2.gif)
also take a look at my logo (http://icypenguin.ca/images/logo/logo.gif) if you want - is just about done :)
thanks :)

quite cool man, but maybe your penguin is a bit too fat, but it's ok... one thing, shouldn't you have your name on the card ? because if someone calls you then how will they know who are they looking for ? :) PS: i like concept one
And one more question... aren't the pics a bit too big for a business hard ?

facsimile
People still use the full proper name for "fax"??
I am not feeling the front very much, back 2 is okay. I dont like the font you have chosen. And the penguin on the front looks rather uncomfortable. I know you didnt ask for a crit on the logo, but it is not very strong IMO.

Well, I kinda wanted the penguin to be fat.
And I liked the word 'facsimilie' - sounded cool. I actually hadn't heard it before.
And the pics are 3.5x2 inches - which is what I've been told to use.
@DDD: What else about the logo don't you like? You mentioned uncomfortable, are you talking about the facial expression of the penguin?

lol...yea, he looks rather constipated and stuffed. Also you should try a anthromorphic use of a penguin, and maybe make him wearing a cool jacket or eating a popsicle or something. Right now it is not clickin to me, but it has potential.

concept 2 looks hell good:D
but the front still needs a bit of work, especially with the logo almost finished:D

Yeah^ if you are going to be relying on the logo, make sure it is strong first. Right now it's a bit "meh". You should try something novel to make it memorable :)

wota fat penguin, looks nice...but...well in my opinion, I'll suggest you shirk the logo and make it small and put at either bottom left or right, it'll look more professional. Same as the title, too, but make sure you place it well.
Speak frankly, I dislike concept two, the alignment is not neat and it doesn't look as professional as the first one. Go for the first concept and shirnk the text, but make sure is readable.
Go for minimalist!!!

Hmm...okay will stick with concept one.
About the logo: fixed up his stuffy look - I don't really wanna do anthromorphic stuff with it though.
I kind of like it the way it is though - even if it isn't very memorable; there are lots of logos quite similar (mark of an animal on top of some text) that I think work quite well.
Do you guys think I could get away with the way it looks right now?

For the business cards or the logo?

the logo mainly.
the typeface for the back of the card could work, but I think it could use some hierarchy, other than just caps. maybe color change, diff font? idk
it seems like there's too much info. i dont even know if you need to label each piece of information. most people know that something@yourname.com denotes an email address, etc
