Okay, here's a site I'm working on, this is just the photoshop layout, eventually you will rotate around the line like it's 3D, that's why the background is really long.
I'd love to get some of your guys opinions and critiques on it!
Thanks.

Really like the background drawings & color. Not so wild about the diver. I think overall it has a nice feel.

As a static design, it looks waaay too busy, and looks like every vector art cliche bundled up in one.
I'd like so see it with movement though before I say anything else :D

Looks very nice and clean. I don't like the diver or that cat(?) thingy walking around in the buildings.
Wanna see this in swf already =)

Hey, thanks alot for the comments :)
I'm glad you guys like it! Except darkmotion :p But that is interesting that you think it looks cliche, that isn't good, I don't really even look at other vector art or anything, so it's kinda surprising that you think so, maybe I subconsiously picked up on some stuff and just don't remember LOL.
Oh, I notice a couple of you guys do not like the diver man thing, he is going to be animated and not just staticaly sitting on the page right there, does that make a difference?
I have also brought it into flash, and started on that, one problem I noticed, is that the line isn't really visible enough, so I had to tone down the buildings, and I ended up taking the grad off the background.
Anyways thanks again for the comments, allways helpful to get other peoples perspectives! :D
PS. I'm a girl, not a dude LOL.

Thats the first thing I noticed when I looked at it.
Other than that, get the flash started dudette.

Looks great. As long as the buttons and lines are somewhat moving, that busy background would work.

I just think the diver man is a little too fussy. The drawing, that is. It should be simplified more like the individual elements of the background. Perfet circle eyes, simple head arms and legs, no need for hands.
IMO, it's not too busy at all. I don't quite get the hook thingy either.
animation could make the whole thing stunning to look at. Keep us posted, please.

Thanks again!
Okay, seems the general consensus is that it's maybe a little buisy, which is kinda what I thought, so I will probably rework the background a little, take some of the buildings/etc out, and also just make it less WHITE/BLACK and tone it down into the BG a little, I kinda like my diver guy, really simple and kinda polygonal looking, but I guess I could rework him a bit..
The hook thing at the end ties into the whole site name/idea, but I'm afraid I won't say the name untill we get the domain, LOL, you never know who might decide to register it themselves LOL :nose:
Also when I get a chance I'll post up the .swf! No where NEAR finished, but you can see the 3D motion anyway.
