I can't do <td valign="middle"> on the buy buttons. They always align to the top of the cell. Each button is a separate form. I got the code from Paypal.

Insert a doctype and you should be able to use valign, though you may as well use it's css equivalent vertical-align: middle

I tried all the doctypes suggested by W3C. All of them did not allow me to valign. Additionally, having any doctype at all makes my site look worse in Firefox. My site looks like crap in IE no matter what I do. There are even tables that float over text!
