Anyone know of a really simple distro of linux that is ONLY a VNC client. Like the entire purpose is to be a VNC client.. nothing extra? If not, where would I start to make such a distro?

Nope, client. My cousin's got an old laptop he'd like to use to control his desktop. Hoping to boot some really lightweight operating system up just for VNC. We've been playing around with a lot of the small linux distros like damnsmalllinux and such, but they're all pretty unstable and crash really easily.

Get a bootable ubuntu Live CD and put the cd image on a USB chain add in the VNC client software, then just set laptop to boot from USB

Ubuntu won't run on it, he's got 28mb of RAM.
edit:/ Slax needs 32mb. It looks nice though.

Debian can run on 24mb of memory if I remember correctly, but I doubt any GUI will run on that. Your best bet would be XFCE or less with a VNC client on a stripped-down Debian.

the last version of XFCE only needed 16mb (I think it was the last version, when I used it thats what it needed)
