Hi,
I am loading an XML file (fairly large document). It takes a high amount of my CPU(almost 100%). This prevents me from working on other applications. Also, it takes a lot of time to load.
Request you to help me to reduce the CPU usage.
Thanks,
Harish

that's odd, are you on a 486 or something? lol...
how big is the xml file? it shouldn't be too taxing on your system at all. can you post your .fla for me to take a look at if possible?

Hi Liam,
Thanks for the reply. The XML size is 2.5 MB. How should I send the FLA. Is there a way in this forum to send an attachment ?

YOUR XML IS 2.5 MB!!!?? HOW LONG IS IT?
That is massive man, no wonder it takes long to parse... I wanna check this file out!
To add an attachment you'd need to use the attach file bit at the bottom of the reply page; but you can't attach something that's that big.
email it to me at:
liam @ vmkdsn.com (remove spaces)
or upload it to a server somewhere if you have one and i'll download it.
