Hi everyone!
I seem to be having trouble with my windows XP sp2. It worked perfectly since the past 3 weeks but suddenly all my microsoft programs on the computer don't work. These include:
Windows Live Messenger
Internet Explorer
Microsoft Office 2003
Everything else works properly and i am using firefox currently.
I scanned the computer using Spybot, Lavasoft program, and AVG Internet Sec. all of them showed nothing.
Help me plz?!?

Have you tried System Restoring back to a few days ago when everything worked properly? :kir:

Consider removing your hard-drive, getting a second hard-drive and inserting the new one into the PC. Install Windows on that hard-drive, and enter the old hard-drive as a second one. That way you won't lose any data but you will have new Windows files set up.

ai6200 is right, but the cooler way and more dangerous way is to get a linux live cd and change the sizes on the partitions and then install windows on the new one. what i do is i have a partition with my files on it, and one with an OS(the os depends on my mood) and then i also keep a 300mb partition with linux on it, just in case i ruin my main os, so i can browse teh web and stuff, also i keep a disc with all my apps on it(gaim, firefox, ps, flash, drivers) and all my movies, games and stuff are backed up on cds.
i do all this because i ruin my os like every other day(im bad i just did it an hour ago)

Does Safe Mode work? If your apps work properly in Safe Mode, then it probably has to do with a startup program that is causing problems.
