I want to play it but I don't want to waste money on another EA screw-up. I think EA completely destroyed Generals IMO. But from what I hear... this is a good addition to the series, and keeps the gameplay relatively the same, if not completely the same. I also like the idea of the 3rd faction

^ I totally agree with you on the Generals thing.
That game just wasn't fun to play at all.
C&C2 rocked though, and I still play that occasionally. I'm going to wait until I build my new comp before I buy it though.

I heard its just more of the same building up the best units you can get and then just rampaging madly through your enemies base? I tried the demo and it was alright, but not really in depth like Company of Heroes or something like that.... Honestly, were the graphics that good, compared to CoH?

WTF? Generals was badass. :puzzle:
I've played the demo for 3, it's cool but ridiculously hard, Nod doesn't relent. Well done piece, but CoH was better just 'cuz of the 3d aspect.
The EA LOTR-Battle for middle earth games were way too easy.

They admittedly said that they aren't changing the gameplay. And that it shouldn't be compared to CoH as it's not the same type of game.

I suppose they are for different crowds.... then again who doesn't love giant laser shooting mechs?

I mean, C&C and CoH are both RTSs. Pretty close. I do think it would rock though, since CoH has the 3D capability, if you could select one guy and go FPS mode. THAT would be friggin' amazing! Especially with mortars or Nebelwerfers (that word sounds so damn funny, ever since playing CoH the people in my household have been using 'nebelwerf the $#*+ out of..' as a synonym for 'destroy', even when nothing even remotely related to nebelwerfers is involved.).
