View Full Version : CONFIG.EXE make noise :(

hi guys,

i am having a weird problem here with my laptop. i am using windows xp home edition service pack2. the problem occur since i updated my windows xp tru internet. The windows "Default Beep" keep beeping every 3 second. it still happen even i restart my laptop.And til today i realise that when i open up the window task manager and end the "CONFIG.EXE" process, the anoying beep sound gone. Can i know what is going on and how to fix it?

dude, there's no config.exe running in my processes.

BUt it really there, CONFIG.EXE running in process under windows task manager. Is it some kind like virus or system file corrupted?

maybe its system corrupted to you windows! its seem it is in the system registry.. when the time you delated its generates new executable file thats is equal to the registry of the config.exe! "am not sure"

repair the windows installation, maybe;)
