Recently Kirupa (and by association the moderators of this site) was approached by a Dr. specializing in internet match making. Dr. Barry Post chose the Kirupa forums as a test case for a much large deployment of his service for a number of reasons. These reasons include the vast number of users, the general stigma associated with web savvy individuals as almost undateable, among others.

Dr. Post uses a sophisticated algorithm to query our database (full of hundreds of thousands of posts chalk full of personal information) which then decides on a % match between 2 candidates. A lot of male to male pairing is showing up, Dr. Post suggests that we keep an open mind to these findings.

We do ask for your patience as we try this partnership out, as we're all very excited for it. If you would like to have a match found simply request it from one of the mods or Dr. Post himself who is now a member of the forums. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don't hesitate to get in contact with us.
