Hey
I have recently been working on a new design for my portfolio at www.mdigitalx.com - what do you think about the new design? And can you also outline problems that may occur during your visit too, thanks :)

Recently purchased a website/template from emkay and the quality is outstanding compared to most designers i've worked with
did you really make it?

Of course I did! Why do you ask??? I have never used a ripped design before.

Thanks for pointing that out!
Yes I understand where you are coming from, that's why I am working on my next update already...from scratch again to make it a little more uncluttered. More critiques please, thanks!

O is this the updated one? Yeah it looks much better :thumb2:
The background looks much better, it adds more depth to the site compared to when it was just all white. And it being that little bit more narrower it looks more sleek.
Glad to see all the navigation is on the left now, it looks much more organised and planned out.
Its nice to see a full border around it it ties it all in.
Overall it looks much better thought out, and you can see the added effort which has been put into it.
Vast improvement!

Graphic, I kinda dig the design. it's clean and well distributed... but it looks like a template... Just looking at the icons and the sharp distribution gives me that vibe. For me, it seems you provide services with prefab templates. Don't take it wrong. If it IS your work, you have big skill for the icons but the designs doesn't seem to go hand in hand. I think you can do something more spectacular... You "put" big time in the icons and a rush to the site concept. Don't know what your target is... but watch it. If you have to design custom sites and develop such big time icons and stuff, the "template feel" is going to kill you. It will cheapen your work and depending on your prices, the client could try to get a better bargain with a "real template".

It's got a real early 2000's look to it. Looks like a tutorial site or a hardware site or something, doesn't say Design to me at all. It's too blocky, there's too much information thrown at you, and it basically just looks like a template.
The design in itself is alright, but as far as the design for your needs I think it fails quite a bit.
