The Flash IDE is extendible, its possible that you could use a JavaScript command to get the functionality you want using Flash 8.

Nah, I think Drawing/Design works quite well. It's easy to tell what program somebody is using there, unlike in the Flash forums, as they're all much more similar, thus the distinct forums.

I would love to know what im clueless to, Ive worked in the industry for 7 years, working for the creators of family guy, simpsons, and working on chaotic and jonny l....Im just looking to batch export layers which would make my job a hell of alot easier.

You're clueless in that you appear to be looking for an illegal version of CS3, which a) isn't up for discussion on this forum, and b) nobody has because it hasn't been released yet.

LOL what is up with the "CS3" bit its SO lame. The Flash has a 9 on it!!!! please The CS3 is just confusing me just cos they want flash to have bum sex with illustrator and photoshop (which is great) doesn't mean they should go round sticking uneeded and unwanted tags on the ends of products they didn't even make! I bet Macromedia were like "Oh GOD no! Not the CS3 Tag! How COULD they? Bandits!!!". And Adobe were like "Muahahahha we are rich and powerful and buy you like scum with MONEY!"

Who cares? If adobe brands their products with CS3, it's their will. I'd do the same, you'd do the same. It's like keeping "macromedia" on the boxes...uh no, if you proudly merged with the company or sold yourself out you have no choice but to do it.

Cingular owns AT&T (extremly powerful back then) and you dont see AT&T on the back of cingular phones.

Adobe is a lovely company though, I dont know but half of me is in love with PS and the other half Flash, they give best of both worlds. 2 of the best design products in the world, the first half that can design anything possible and the other that can put any design in motion. What else do you want?

All in one package, the CS3 or CS1000 tag wont change their product quality.

*edit: a part of me does wonder though, is the name "Macromedia" completely dead? Such a cool company, fuel of Newgrounds.com, I wonder if they'll be back lol.

Hmm I liked Macromedia they were safe. Adobe just seems like a cold hard glass-fronted company. It guess I'm probably wrong, but Macromedia seemed to do it because they loved it (+ money!) and Adobe are just doing it for the money. Meh, I guess its the same people making most of it!?

After the acquisition, I was really afraid Adobe was going to mess up Flash in a bad way.. After playing with CS3 for a few days, I realize I was totally wrong.. The new version is just incredible. The psd import is a beautiful thing, the ui is wonderful (though I keep docking panels when I don't want to - have to remember to keep the control key down), the new pen tool is so much better, etc.. Though better, I'm still not that happy with the code editor, but that's what FlashDevelop's for... Overall, the improvements are just flat out great.. Now, let's have that new forum section...
