Hi y'all :)

I should be studying right now, but I just can't study for it. I have exam Dutch tomorrow, and that would be like you guys learning English. How do you learn for something like that !? That's just all knowledge I guess, you can't study for that ... I'm having problems with that, knowing I should be studying, and also knowing that it's no use ... *weird expression sound*

Multiple choice, essay or short answer questions?

I remember stuyding Dutch as well... during the last 2 years it was more about literature than grammar or vocabulary. Guido Gezelle, crap like that. Now this you have to study, 'cause it has nothing to do about "feeling".

Merci Kajinku :) Kzit nu in't derde jaar en tgaat vooral om vocabulaire en zo en zinsontleding en woordsoorten, maar ja, daar kunt ge toch eigenlijk nie voor lere, da moet ge gewoon weten. Der staat waarschijnlijk zoals altijd een bonusvraag op "Wie schreef dit boek ? + duid foto aan van auteur en cover"

The exam format will be

Part 1 Vocabulary
Part 2 Grammar
Part 3 Random stuff
Bonus: Who wrote this book + match picture of author and cover.

Always the same format ;)

well seems pretty straight forward to me about what you should study for parts 1 and 2, not too sure about the random stuff. Do you have access to past exam papers?

Nope, but I do have tests, which are practically the identical. I redid every test and could make them with ease. The problem is : take vocabulary for example: there is this huuuge list of words ever mentioned in our book, but I know every single one of them !
What's the point of studying something you've known since forever ?

Azo, wel, ik had de pest aan die grammatica- en woordenschat vroeger... dikke zever. Dit moet je inderdaad met je "feeling" doen, maar soms zijn regels in de grammatica een must... pfff, gij liever dan ik... ugh, zinsontleding... ;) Toch nog is succes! :thumb:

Yups, had het al gezien onder je avatar. Ik woon in Stekene, zo'n 3 km van de Nederlandse grens en niet zo ver van Sint Niklaas. Zo'n 30 min. van Antwerpen met de auto.

Well, I went to High School in Sint Niklaas and to college in Gent actually (Hogeschool GENT: BME - CTL)... same city as you. :) I got to know the city of Gent pretty good during those years.
I'm currently working in Brussels since 1,5 months, but will be studying again next September... this time in Brussels.

studying for language exams is hard but it can be done. what i do is i make flash cards for vocabulary and grammar. it helps writing it out first and then you can always go back and look at them before the test.

well croatian was the same way for me when i lived there. and i still did the same thing even though i could speak it and write it.

When I don't wanna study for something I just try to study in small pieces. I study for 30min, then I play 10min drums then studing and so one.... works pretty good for me

Zeg, er wordt nu wel redelijk veel nederlands gepraat vergeleken met vroeger!

Mijn examens zijn ook gedaan, (k'zit in het 5de, wiskunde Wetenschappen)
en van mij was't een grote flop... alleen wiskunde, nederlands en fysica gingen goed, de rest peut....
