It's set in/around Liberty City and it looks fantastic. The scenery looks beautiful. GTA have gone with their, now standard, ambiguous teaser trailer but you get a good enough look at the style to know that it's gonna be a gorgeous game. If the gameplay is as good as in the previous titles this has best game of 2007 written all over it.

I'm rather excited. October can't come soon enough. :hr:

I just saw it on xboxlife.dk, truly a impressive trailer :)

Also FFXIII is slated for Q4 this year, if it goes MP as rumours say, what a year this is gonna be :pleased: Even Mass Effect is due this summer :love:

is this gonna be PS2 though. I ****** loved all the previous games but there's no way I'm shelling out £450.00 for some new hardware to play my favourite game....

liberty city always looked a bit like NY for me ... though i'd never been there :ponder:

I heard that it's coming to PC as well, but wikipedia says no. Does anybody know this?

It'll be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 in october this year. The PC version is to come some time in 2008, probably June/July.

This may show my age a little but surely this game will be sicker than all the rest because it looks so real.

I think it will be shunned even more then the other games because there is something not really right about shooting people in the head in full HD glory!

(It won't stop me doing some unique jumps though!)

You wont be jumping higher than my Agent he jumps over 50 feet and lifts over 2 tons :lol: if you guys like GTA you guys should give crackdown a try its very entertaining.

I gotta say the graphics do look mighty nice I can bet thats the X360 version though :lol:

So it looks nice....but other than that this trailer sucks. Sure its a pretty lookin city where you do some GTA stuff. I figured that much a year ago...but what about new gameplay??? What a tease...

Some people (on other forums) have pointed out a sign within the trailer that reads "Fly to Vice City: $300"

Could it mean anything? ;(

I bet its a computer rendering ;). And since the PS3 has a lot more power than the X360 I'd figure it would be the PS3 version if any.

Apparently thats what the gameplay looks like and is rendered using a next gen console. Or so i heard, but they would say that!

Looks amazing.

I've been reading that it's uses the Euphoria engine to handle animations.

Lol, this trailer looks great and I'm happy the FINALLY changed their graphics engine. But did the trailer remind anyone of the Matrix Online trailer?

Yeah it does look great, finally they don't need to make this game for PS2 so they made a new engine (or used?)

I hope the gameplay will improve too (I haven't finished any 3d gta yet -.-)

It does look good, doesn't it? I hope the story is as good as has become expected of the GTA franchise. That would really ice the great look and, apparently, game play of the game.

It sounds AWESOME. I just preordered my copy off Amazon. 3+ months in advance. :D

The first trailer was a play on a movie called "Koyaanisqatsi", see it if you haven't. It's nuts. This looks friggin' awesome.

I wasn't impressed by 'Crackdown'.

Well spotted on the movie link Dan. It's got the Phillip Glass connection and everything. I don't think that's ever been picked up on before, at least not on any of the boards I frequent. :thumb2:

All three of those movies are amazing. The other one's "Naqoyisqatsi" (Chances that I spelled that properly are nil), and what's the other one? Can't remember right off the cuff, but yeah, those movies are nuts. They should be sending copies of them out on probes to be sent into deep space, to give whoever's out there a good idea of what our planet is like.

I hope you get to fly a UFO in this one! The planes were cool, but stealing a UFO would be awesome.
