I was wonderin if there were any other music lovers here. Music is the most important thing in my life behind family and masturbation (hey, im 15!). I play the guitar, a black Epiphone SG (too cheap for a Gibson, though that is next). If you play an instrument and have a band or just love playin talk about it here. Havent seen any other musical forums out there. Peace
(P.S. youy can talk about your fav bands here too. mine are in order Hendrix, AC/DC, and Bob Marley)

yeah, i'm a music buff too. i also play the guitar, a fender strat. i was in a cover band for some time but i think we unofficially broke up right after college started. we may get back together, i dunno. i also play the piano which i've been doing for about 12 years now. i don't really have a favorite band, but i do like staind, nirvana, and foo fighters.
my favorite guitarist/musician will always be Kurt Cobain.

I, as a real man, play the drums and that's the coolest instrument ever. It also can help you when you are aggressive .... ;)

Amen to that! Kurt was great. As a person he was a selfish barstool (not a typo, i was just avoiding the kirupa word ban - you know what i REALLY meant).
But as an artist he was unreal. His lyrics were great, his song beautifully unerving and his artwork fantastically surreal. One of a kind.

wow that is so profound i really don't know what to say to that. personally, i hate stupid people at concerts. especially large men that think they can push their way thru anything and think they're so important. what losers.

cool, but there are unspoken rules to moshing. one of them is:
"Thou shalt not smash thy mosher neighbour in the face"
But then agin i guess another unspoken rule is:
"thou shalt avoid a moshing fester like thoust would avoid the plauge"

As a average-height man who weighs less than 10 stone, I can relate.

As a chick who likes general admission and standing/dancing to concert music and doesn't like to be smashed into by some friggin arsehole, i can relate also.

prstudio: LOL. Yeah. Looks like we're brothers. :)
pinx: Your gentle nature compels me to respond. (-: Gibson, Peavey, Fender, etc are guitar companies ... all building guitars and hoping YOU'LL find them favorable. You might prefer a BC RICH if I'm not mistaken. They have an inherently cranky disposition. hee hee Actually, I like their Mockingbird myself. Take a look; they're on the web.

dexa: thank you for the gracious answer. unbeknownst (sp?) to you, i know they build guitars but which one is highest quality, etc.?????
omg i just looked at the web at BC RICH guitars! they look like 80s ****rock guitars!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

What I hate about concerts is those snake lines of girls that hold eachother by the wrist and try to get up front and then get squished and then leave and come back again. Everyone gets squished up front not just girls, it's ridiculoios to complain about getting squished, its like complaing that when you are driving in a convertable the wind messes up your hair. I also hate it when girls are propped on their guys shoulders which blocks the view for everyone else standing behind them. And girls that think you'll give them a beer or a cigarette just because.

It seems we like concerts here. How many concerts have you been too, and what was your favorite. I've only been to 3 :*( and 1 was a Bonnie Rait (however you spell it) Bumbershoot conert when I was 5. The other two were AC/DC (rock on) and Hoobastank (awesome). My fav was by far AC/DC!

i've been to see Radiohead, Foo Fighters, bUSH and Turin Brakes (in that order). The last three I saw at brixton academy. They were all amazing tbh.. since Turin Brakes were the most recent, I think they were the best.. the sound quality was fantastic!
definitely go and see them if you can :thumb:

well it just depends which concert you go to punk/hardcore concert = big chance of mosj pit...
and the thy shalt not smack your fellow mosjer in the face rule don't count in a hardcore pit... it's more like "thy shalt dive with thy boots first" :s.... i steer clear out of those pit's too.
Metal gigs i go to are usually lots more calm, you just have to watch out you don't run into the hair of someone headbanging.
you gotta look where you are gonna stand, when you go up front you can always expect a pit... and well... when in rome ;)
