How to incorperate text... [Archive]

into a fireworks made site and make it editable without needing fireworks. I was wondering if this should be done with frames or something. dont know exactly how to go about doing this.

Try making a slice in fireworks where you'd like your text to appear.
Once you generate the html from fireworks just delete the code that creates that slice, and replace it with your text. (be sure to leave in whatever table tags it creates for it, you just want to get rid of any spacers). Then just type away! But remember if you type more than the height of the slice you made it's going to break your layout length-wise unless you have tiled your graphics. Down the road you may want to get into strictly CSS layouts, it'll save you a ton of headaches ;)
