Allright. I'm not married to the design, though I'm moderately happy with it. Anyone have any suggestions or feedback?

I haven't sent it to the client yet, as I wanted to bring it in here and see if anyone had any ideas/changes that could improve things/make the design more solid.

I like it but why are the images of the buildings so big? Are they going to be like that on every page?

I'm not a great designer (actually I'm terrible at design, I'm a coder) but those large images of the buildings seem a bit busy to me.

It looks great, much better than I could ever do, but unless there is a reason those buildings are so large, I would modify them a bit.

Love the green. :)

Two reasons, not excuses, and I may change the size of them if a number of people agree:

1) They have no content. I had to make up the content you see on this page.

2) They really wanted to push the fact that they were based in Austin, and one of the requirements was to feature numerous photos of Austin landmarks and buildings. As well as that photo at the very top, which I had to use.

So, I'm not adverse to making the images smaller, possibly by adding more "cake layers" on top of the photos.

Thats a dam good reason if you ask me! lol

As long as there is a reason for the images being there, then great. Function over form for me. :)

the images look fine, and the layout is clean. the only reason i'd complain about lack of content is if they wanted like a 30 page site and you only have like 1 page of content. anyways, nice job.:)

So here's a "finished" version, in a website format with the top piece as a Flash movie.

I'm having trouble getting a preloader to work. I've tried using one that switches the SCENE, and I've tried one that switches FRAMES, and they all seem to have their own reasons they won't work.

Kinda suck :p

BUt, I like the flash movie, so, there we go :)
