Tell me please, I had a shock when reading your post ;) there will undoubetdly be a massive bundled pack of all three films, the matrix revisited, the animatrix and probably about 5(billion) special features and extras discs coming out some time after Revolutions (a la Lord of the Rings).

Much like the sound of inevitability.... It is inevitable :beam:

Ah, yes, probably. But I will buy the Animatrix DVD now and wait for the special edition of Reloaded. Other special DVDs worth waiting for:

Star Wars - complete edition pack
Alien - special edition pack
The Two Towers - extended editon

etc...etc...

Didnt George say he wasn't going to release the originals on DVD? then again.. that's probably just an attempt to scrounge even more money out of the little people

lord of the rings: waiting for the ultra-super-mega of that too ;)

actually! sh*t! no time for lunch right now.. driving lesson in about 5 minutes! Maybe some other time? You wouldn't turn a young, poor, starving art student away would you?

For Aliens, nono, expect an even more super-duper-wowzers-oh-my-lord-mega pack. :P

Trust me, George Lucas will release the whole Star Wars collection on DVD when everything is done. He claimed not having enough bonus material for the 3 original movies, but that's just a bunch of crap. The R2D2 prototypes + screen tests and all, it's all on tape. I think we'll have to wait a long time for this pack to come out though... especially because Lucas keeps changing and remastering the original ones...

Hm, I wonder if the Lord of the Rings movies will be released in a 3-movies pack. They probably will, but I don't think they will contain more bonus material than the Extended Editions now. They already have 2 bonus DVDs for The Fellowship. If they're going to do this for every movie, more bonus material would be insane! Oh well, we can expect everything... :)

asphaltcowboy
June 6th, 2003, 09:47 AM
it's not all american anime.. one (or two?) was (were?) directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (the guy responsible for one of the greatest animes ever! Cowboy Bebop). In fact, I think there are quite a few that aren't american..

:D

flippy

well yeah but the concept and ideas are american, which is what i meant. :);)

yeah Im looking forward to the new alien pack too =) If I remember right, its coming out this month sometime (I could be wrong).

I got the animatrix DVDfor $10 here in the states, Im quite happy with it. I like all the flics but the 2nd Ren. are my favorites. Ive watched them quite a few times.

My only complaint is the subtitles for the japanese interviews. Id rather there be a dubbed interpreter :-\ no big deal though :P

Im also looking forward to TTT extended DVD :) it was hard to hold out for fellowship, but I made it and it was worth it and I think I can do it this time too.

:)
