How to get a forum together??

So who has started playing with K Man's new Kirupa color styles!??? I have!! Trendy stuff, all my forum stuff is orange now and icons are a little different as well. Call me a fool but does anyone know what a forum like this costs? Ie the app itself and a host to host such a foum (ive notice fkit, and actionscript,org use the same forum app as kirupa) ?? Anyway Im starting a site for my brother bit of a petrol head and he wants a forum but Ive got no idea on what forum apps are around and the hosting ...

hosting depends on what you are looking for.

www.ipowerweb.com has decent hosting for $100 a year.

as far as forums go, you can get free ones from www.phpBB.com or www.invisionboard.com

i'm not sure about how much vBulletin costs, but thats what Kirupa uses...

www.vbulletin.com is the site i believe...
