digital camera

so before i go to croatia i am going to buy this digital camera, it's got so much versatility and control and the optical zoom is great. i also like the 3.3 megapixels it has. i will also buy a 128 mb picture card.

what do you guys think? for $330, it's not bad.

16 mb internal and then i'm going to get an external 128 mb card.

Thats not bad, my camera came with a 32MB CF, and then I bought a 256MB CF, not much more expensive.

Cool camera! My dad just bought a Canon Ixus 400: 4 mpx, very small, very sharp pictures and awesome colours. :)

sounds pretty good to me. i would just like to ask one question though...

what are you going to be using this camera for mainly? because if you're just going to be taking pictures to put on the web, you don't really need that many megapixels (if you plan on printing/having the pictures printed you'll definetly want that many megapixels at least). my digital camera is only 2 mp and i have to resize all the photos i take from 1600x1200 pixels. it's just something to think about.

i'm a bit of a photography freak and haven dabbled in digital photography yet. i want to use this mainly for the web, but if i have an exceptionally great shot, i know i'd want to print it.

can you tell me the difference between the sd cards and the regualar multimedia cards? i'm trying to decide which one to buy.

Can't remember what mine is... It's a Kodak one, I know that and it cost about £500... It's a cool one though, even I can use it without breaking it. :P

There medium sized and awesome, i have its bigger brother the powershot G3 and it works like a dream. Takes some incredible photos.

I got a sony 4.0 (i think) mega pixel. my mom just took it to some craft fair so i cant tell you what one it is but i got it over another kodak casue of the lense. Carel Zeinth or something, he did the hubble telescope lense though.

Carl zeiss is the the guy i think your talkimg about (its his lenses on the 5mp sony)... and Pinx, SD stands for Superdrive and its like CF but slightly different shape and has alot more space, not all cameras can take them though.

I BOUGHT IT!! Spent $430 in all, including tax and a 128 mb sd card! yay!
