Two birds from eCommerce have just dumped a hundred page intranet site on me. They've gone and written this thing having said that "web design and that's easy, we'll do it", and have managed to screw it up big time.

There's three style sheets applied to every page, each one different, each one overriding the others, and none of them correct.

The formatting is wrong.

The layout is abysmal.

It hasn't been spell checked or linked up.

There are no anchors anywhere and they want named ones so they can skip through.

They have come running to me.

I'm now going to find someone to take me out to lunch at the pub. :bad:

yeah some ppl, dumping their work with you... yeh there are some "minor" bugs in em. You can fix em right... :s. know the feeling. Really ****ty part comes later on when they claim they have done the work. Well if you do it that way webdesign is easy for them offcourse ;)

None whatsoever. :angry: They've gone and stuffed it all up and I have to sort out the mess. Argh.

Still, I did manage to locate a nice young man to take me to the pub, and he even bought me lunch, so I've cheered up a bit. Now I'm back at my desk though, there's no saying how long this will last. :)

The dealine would be tomorrow morning. This is why I'm so annoyed. They left it till the last possible minute in the hope that it might miraculously fix itself, then decided it wasn't going to and that it might be an idea to ask the one person in the office that actually knows what they're doing... :sigh:

If your a relitivly good looking chick you have got it made.

If I had a crappy day, I would probably have to go through my entire phonelist before I could convince a girlie to "TAKE ME OUT" to a pub.

But on the flipside, I could call any chick and take her out to the pub no problem....

On the flipside though when we are at the pub and have a few wobbly pops in us we dont have to squat.

I guess it all evens out in the longrun :)

I don't have a problem with that in the least. :) But sometimes it's nice to go out and have someone else pick up the tab for once. :) Anyway, the guy I had lunch with owes me this one for a coding favour I did for him last month. :) So it was a fair deal. I saved his arse, he buys me lunch. :beam:

aw, poor guys. In my happy experience, the female ones vehemently resist being paid for and it usually balances quite evenly. The other day I paid for lunch, a couple o' dinks and the cinema (Matrix 2 which kinda sucked) and she bought dinner at a nice Japanese place.

My Bars (pubs) usually consist of a horribly lit smoke filled room, a juke box a pool table and alot of people in leather.
