Transparent images in flash?

Yep - using photoshop and the png format (or gif).

In PS, make sure you work is not in the background layer. Now merge all your working layers but still keeping the background layer.

Now click on your working layer and go to save for web...

Select png format and tick the transparency check box.

Save the file

Import file into flash

There you have it - a transparent image ;)
