I have a palm tree with a solid blue background, does anyone know how to make it look like it is in the middle of a storm? The leaves are already being blown by wind and are leaning to one side of the tree, i need to learn how to make it look like it is in a storm, or in severe weather, thank you for your help :)

If the background is solid blue you could copy it onto a new layer. Select the blue with the magic wand tool and delete it. You'd probably need to trim the transparency around the tree. On the layer underneath you could insert your stormy background pic and then adjust the colours and lighting on the tree to make it look a little more convincing. Either way you do it, best to make the background transparent so you can adjust the tree and the background separately.

a good way to make some Extreme rain and wind is by using the noise filter and motion bluring it on a angle. Also a filter called wind, found in Filter/Stylize/Wind. Give that a play around.
