Well guys, ive been pretty lazy lately about updating my photography site. So tonight I added a bunch of my recent shots. The first four sections are the new ones. They're from a football game with friends, the zoo, and then just some random ones of friends. The zoo pictures might be a little bit grainy, it was really dark and rainy, so i had to increase the iso :( . tell me what you think!

CLICK HERE (the top 4 sections are the new ones) (http://www.3dnirvana.com/Photography)

here's a few of em if you're too lazy to click :)

Good stuff, the Zoo shots were a little grainy but you still managed to get some good stuff. BTW could I use one of your shots as a backround?

i do photography myself and i have no idea what grain he was talking about. as far as i can tell those were digital shots, no film involved. tell me if im wrong

good stuff ryan, likin that leopard one a lot myself too. If you did a little post production to the leopard and ran the high-pass on it, it would increase the d.o.f. and make the pic even better.

what type of zoo is it that they started capturing these:

i'm confused, was the point to use photoshop to improve or screw up the photo?

You're wrong :). You still get grain w/ digital photos. The higher the ISO setting the more grain your image is gonna produce. Although... I'm not sure how the rain came into affect w/ the grain :lol:

Those are awesome! :thumb:

You should either (a) post them to Flickr, or (b) try selling prints.

grain = film

noise = digital

right?

haha sorry, i just have always called it grain. because when you get a higher speed film then it gets grainy, and so when it looks grainy when i increase the iso i just call it grain... i guess noise is the correct term though.

and sure travis you can use em for your background... lol i don't really think you need a photographer's approval to use a photo as ur background.. haha

I use trinocular (tri meaning 2 eyepeices and a third for the camera to attach to) microscopes to take the micro photos. The ones there were taken with a zoom microscope, but i think some of the other ones i've posted are with a confocal microscope ( here's some confocal pictures if you're interested (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=211471&highlight=microscope)).

lol and yeah i realize the last pic on the zoo album isnt a animal... just a friend i went with that i took pictures of too. haha

and Anogar... thanks for the heads up i adjusted the levels a little, it was kinda washed out when i looked at it again..

Thanks again everyone!
