What does the "#" do and mean after a ahref tag? I've seen it a lot and was just wondering what it did?

It is to link to a bookmark within a page =)

Cheers!

whatever, to come to a conclusion. It is freakin important and without knowing what it does, you can't creat anything ;) something like that

# is often used when you don't have the link targeting anything. It also brings you back to the top without a frame label.

I often void my links via javascript:void(0) instead of # because that prevents the jump to top.

Really though, the main function of # is to target a named anchor in your page to make the page jump to that anchor instead of the viewer scrolling there.

As raydred was close to doing it goes like this...

Put this before the content you want to jump to

And in your link to get it to jump to the anchor do this...
Link Text

I hope that helps.

LOL, I wish. You're the funnier twin. Although you are smarter than me in that server-side stuff. You could take me in that anyday, but that's ok, because I got you beat client-side  (I think)
