50,000feet (http://www.50000feet.com) is a full-service design firm in Chicago that develops programs and applications in online advertising, promotion, as well as full scale web development. Currently we are looking for an experienced Flex Developer to complete a Flash/Flex-based drag and drop shopping interface. Architecture is in place and look and feel are complete. We're ready for production.
The ideal candidate is very capable in the use of Flex / Action Script, integrating Flash with XML. The experienced person produces clean and efficient code. Close attention to detail is important in integrating the look and feel of this shopping interface. You will be part of an experienced team and have the full support of a designer and will focus on development and testing.
Easy-going work environment. For the right candidate, telecommuting is OK. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and time estimate.

Actively participate as a team member and contribute the development perspective in the completion of the shopping solution.
Focus on high quality, on-time delivery of an exceptional experience.
Write and document clean, reusable and scalable code.Skills:
Excellent command of Flash (8, 9), ActionScript (2, 3), Flex
Ability to take structued, layered .fla or .ai files from a production designers and use them in development
Game development experience with knowledge of math based motion and run-time optimization is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Flash Player limitations, workarounds, performance tuning and file size optimizationQualifications:
Four or more years of demonstrable experience with multimedia technologies in an interactive agency or highly functional, complex and high-quality freelance work.
BS/MS in Graphic Design with New Media focus is preferred.
Other experience with programming or degree is Computer Science is a plus.
